Dr. Raj Bhalla
Biography
Dr. Bhalla received his MBChB from the University of Leicester, England in 1995 and was awarded his MRCS(Eng) in June, 2001.
Currently, Dr. Bhalla is a SpR in Otorhinolaryngology at the North Manchester General and Booth Hall Children’s Hospitals in Manchester, England. Since commencing his post, Mr Bhalla has established a comprehensive sinus service at both hospitals, utilizing the most current instruments, technology and surgical techniques.
His practice at Tameside General Hospital offers a general adult and childrens ENT service, including surgery, to the local population of approximately 260,000. At Manchester Royal Infirmary, Dr. Bhalla treats complex sinus and nasal disease and, abnormalities of the anterior skull base, such as CSF leaks. He also performs nasal surgery to correct breathing difficulties and deformities. The large part of his surgery is performed as a day-case. He consults privately at The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle. He hosts a sinus dissection and rhinoplasty course annually at the University of Manchester. He is invited faculty on several national training courses.
Dr. Bhalla has research interests in the association between sinus disease and asthma, tumours of the sinuses, and new technologies and their application in sinus surgery.
