Dr. Chris Diamond


Biography

Dr. Chris Diamond is originally from Prince Edward Island and obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Prince Edward Island. He went on to medical school at Dalhousie University in Halifax before completing his residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, passing his Royal College examinations in Otolaryngology in 2007.

He also completed a Master of Public Health in Clinical Epidemiology degree from the University of Alberta. After completing his residency, he worked locum positions in towns and medical practices of various sizes and in five provinces before returning to Edmonton completing a subspecialty fellowship in Rhinology, Endoscopic Sinus & Skull Base Surgery with Dr. Erin Wright in 2009.

Dr. Diamond currently runs a practice in general otolaryngology in North Vancouver serving the referral communities of Lions Gate Hospital and the province of British Columbia. The practice is split between a subspecialty Rhinology practice with some trans-sphenoidal skull base procedures, and general / pediatric ENT practice with an interest in head & neck surgery. Dr. Diamond is a clinical instructor with the UBC Division of Otolaryngology and is involved in teaching residents.  He has recently been appointed, effective 2013, as the Director for Undergraduate Education for the Division of Otolaryngology-HNS at the UBC.
